Rounded shrub or tree reaching 10m

Prickles in pairs just below the nodes

Grey to cream flaky bark

Greyish velvety leaves which give tree open airy appearance

White flowers spikes during Summer and Autumn

Should be sown in Spring when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.

Treat the seeds with a pre-emergence fungicide such as Apron.
Scarify the seeds using water. Soak in warm water (about 30 deg C) for 24 hours before sowing.
