Germination Hints
Rub one side of seeds with sandpaper to expose endosperm.
Sow in a well-drained seedling mixture containing one-third sand.
4-6mm deep, covered with sand.
Place in warm semi-shade.
Water regularly.
Monitor carefully for fungus, can be treated with a fungicidal drench.
Transplant when 50mm high into a sandy soil with well-rotted compost and bone meal.
Cannot handle even a small amount of frost.
