A very slow growing fynbos shrub that produces beautiful long blooming red flowerheads, grow up to 2m high.
Lovely for gardens or as a cut-flower for display.
Pollinated by birds after fires.
Species has decreased due to how slow they are to mature and they are over harvested and frequent fires.
Should be sown in Autumn when the difference between day & night temperatures is about 12°C .
