Helichrysum umbraculigerum seed is very small.
I have done in the past is gently shake it onto a sterile medium, in something like a perforated Margarine tub.
Soak in a shallow tray of water from the bottom until the surface is wet, remove and place in a clear plastic bag until germination is visible.
Leave the plastic open for longer and longer each day until tbe seedlings are big enough to prick out.
Its a tricky one.
Maybe another germination aid could be to refrigerate the seed for 3-4 weeks to mimic its natural habitat.
