Prostrate or diffuse grey or white-woolly herb, possibly perennial
Root woody, branches several from the crown up to 450mm long
Leaves mostly considerably smaller, greyish-white woolly
Flowers sometimes crimson
Should be sown in Autumn when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C
