Large and shrub-like upright and grows up to 1 meter (3 feet) tall, with succulent erect branches emerging from a basal woody stem
Several green to reddish, slender, leafy stems which branch at the top to produce 4 or 5 flower stems.
The leaves are narrow, alternately arranged, and bright green along the stems.
Should be sown in Autumn or Spring when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C
Toxic to both humans and livestock its milky sap may cause irritation to skin, eyes, and digestive tracts
