A peculiar, almost ball shaped dwarf succulent plant that resembles a stone.
Grows to 20 cm in height with a diameter of 9 cm.
Single-stemmed, unbranched, firm-bodied dioecious, ( male and female flowers occur on different plants)
Contains many highly reduced male flowers or a single female flower appearing in summer
Grow in full sun or in the partial shade
 Has a milky latex which is poisonous and is especially irritant to tender or cut skin and the eyesÂ
Water sparingly during the summer months and keep dry in winter.
It is a slow growing long lived plant
Should be sown during spring or summer when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
