This is a hardy, evergreen, much-branched spiny succulent shrub 0.6 to 1.5 meter developing a flat crown.
It has 4-angled, thin, greenish yellow branchlets with dark-brown spines running along the ridges.
Having small, bright yellow flowers from September to November.
Tiny pollinating insects are attracted to the flowers
Place in sun or very light dappled shade.
All parts of the plant are considered toxic, the milky sap is particularly hazardous.
