Erect, sparsely branched shrub growing up to 1m tall.
Densely covered with tufts of dark green needle-like leaves.
Waxy, golden yellow, tubular flowers are arranged in closely packed spikes that resemble corn on the cob.
This a highly threatened species from urban expansion and farming practices.
Likes a smoke treatment.
Should be sown in Autumn when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
