sparse leaves coming from erect stem,

large purple flowers in Spring

Winter growing plant

Moist sandy areas, Winter rain.

They grow in marshes and between fynbos in cool damp areas

Should be sown in Autumn when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
