A scrambling shrub or small tree up to 5m in height, widely spreading
Bark pale creamy brown occasionally with dark grey bands, manly smooth
Deep green mainly elliptic leaves
Flowers greenish, on spikes
Fruit 4-winged drying to cinnamon brown
Should be sown in Spring when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C .
