Description
Babiana nana is a low (6 to 15 cm tall) geophyte growing on sandy flats and dunes
Winter growing species which flowers in winter-early spring
Leaves vary from ovate to narrowly lanceolate to almost linear.
Flowers are scented
Flowers are blue or violet and seldom pale pink, with white markings on the lower lateral tepals
The flowers are much larger than the leaves
Plant in a deep pot if not planting in the ground
