With light green, waxy leaves are smooth, spirally arranged, with very sharp tips
Thick, succulent leaves aid with sufficient moisture for drier periods
Grows underneath shrubs, giving protection from severe sun exposure.
Having red tubular flowers facing upwards, adapted to attract sunbirds
Blooming in summer, December to April
Should be sown in Spring when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
