Description
ASPHODELACEAE
Single densely leafy rosettes. Stems absent or very short and inconspicuous.
Greyish green leaves, long relatively broad at the base and narrow at the tip.
upper parts distinctly curved inwards to give the rosette a rounded appearance.
A few scattered thorns sometimes present on the upper and particularly the lower surfaces.
The buds are red and the open flowers greenish-white.
In some plants the buds orange and the open flowers yellow.
Should be sown in Spring when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
