ASPHODELACEAE

Plants grow as small dense groups of rosettes rising from a short horizontal stem.
Leaves narrowly oblong, yellowish-green in colour with the tips curved inward.
Small sharp teeth occur along the margin.
Upper and lower surfaces without thorns or prickles.
Buds dark red and the open flowers bright yellow. (lutescens means yellow)
Flowers June/July.
Should be sown in Spring/Summer when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
