An evergreen shrub or tree native to warmer and drier parts of Southern Africa.
1-3m tall (sometimes taller)
Known for its unpleasant smell of its flowers, hence the common name.
Flower during spring.
Pale grey- grey bark, small greenish flowers lack petals but have prominent stamens and a rancid smell.
Produces abundant fruit in Summer of a yellowish to pale brown colour when ripe.
Should be sown in Spring when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
