The trees are arranged according to the National Tree List.
740 tree species are known and recognised in South Africa and approximately 300 occur in the Kruger National Park.
About 200 are at least 5m in height. The remaining species are not regarded as trees in this work.
Each species is illustrated photographically in its natural environment.
