Small pale mauve iris-like flowers in Spring.
Grows in sandy and gravelly flats and on slopes.
Grows well in a pot
Flowers open in the early afternoon and close by the evening, they make up for the short flowering time, by producing lots of flowers over a long period.
Should be sown in Autumn when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
