A shrub to small tree, usually scrambling.
Simple lanceolate leaves with margins rolled under.
Woody fruits split open to reveal red seeds, medicinal & magical.
Showy clusters of white flowers changing to yellow in Summer, pollinated by sunbirds & hawkmoths.
Should be sown in Spring when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
