Description
CELASTRACEAE
“White silky bark”
- 25 seeds per packet
This is a small, shrubby, evergreen tree reaching 2 – 6 m
In very windy areas it tends to be shaped (and effectively pruned) by the wind to a dense, rounded shape with smooth grey to pale brown bark and stiff branches
The leaves are leathery, glossy green, and broadly oval to rounded, often clustered towards the ends of the branches.
Small, inconspicuous greenish-white to cream flowers are borne in clusters, mainly from spring to summer,
Should be sown in Autumn when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
