With thick columnar branches arising from a central base giving a candelabra effect but seated on the ground.
Grey green stems with contrasting grey spines.
Should be sown in Spring when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
All parts of this plant are toxic, particularly the milky latex sap, which contains compounds that can cause skin irritation.
