Each head normally only forms two leaves, which are wrinkled and rugose, soft, erect, semitranslucent, transversely banded red and green
Deciduous and is only visible above ground in the rainy season from June until September.
For the rest of the year it is dormant and below the ground.
Having flowers 8-20, sweetly scented yellow
Should be sown in Autumn when the difference between day and night temperatures is about 12°C.
