The “Fire Heath”, Erica cerinthoides, produces clusters of lovely inflated, tubular, red, white and orange flowers at the ends of short branches. A natural resprouter, this species responds well to pruning, which will keep the plant in a healthy condition and will stimulate flowering at any time of the year. Species requires full sun and acidic clay soil.
A smoke treatment is required for successful germination. Please see our Cape Seed Smoke Primer – sold separately.
